Véronique Drouhin-Boss: Featured In New Burgundy Documentary Film

As a Burgundy winemaker, this film is a story about my world.
About Burgundy’s passionate people whose lives revolve around
the culture, challenges and pleasure of wine, winemaking and
world-renowned gastronomical delights.

Véronique Drouhin-Boss
Winemaker, Maison Joseph Drouhin

Véronique Drouhin-Boss, winemaker at Maison Joseph Drouhin makes several appearances in the award-wining feature documentary film Burgundy: People with a Passion for wine. Chosen because of her English language skills and prominent position as a fourth-generation Burgundy winemaker, Ms. Drouhin narrates the film with a delightful French accent and exhibits her comfort with the English language during her appearances in the award-wining film.

Maison Joseph Drouhin is one of the most important domains in Burgundy, with more than two thirds of the vineyards classified as Premier and Grand Crus. With wineries in both France and Oregon, U.S.A., Maison Joseph Drouhin is headquartered in the historic, spiritual heart of Burgundy wine production, Beaune, France. Véronique is the "guardian" of the Joseph Drouhin style. Véronique received her National Diploma of Enology from the University of Dijon and obtained an advanced degree (Diplôme Supérieur de Recherche) for her work on the pinot noir grape varietal.

Filmed in the Drouhin’s awesome, historic late12th and early 13th Century cellars, originally owned by the Church of Notre Dame, Veronique demonstrates her excellent wine tasting expertise.  These humid and temperature controlled cellars stretch under the ancient streets of Beaune and are impressive to say the least.  Wines tasted and evaluated by Véronique in the film include a Maison Joseph Drouhin 2010 Clos des Mouches premier cru and a 2009 Chambolle-Musigny from Côte de Nuits.
